The National Virtual Platform for the promotion of coffee kicks off this tuesday 22 of september
Until December 31 with two major events: Festival Nuestro Café and Expo Café
• It will attend more than 100,000 visits from Peruvian coffee lovers

Ready to become the largest virtual coffee meeting in the country is the National Virtual Platform for the Promotion of Coffee, which will be inaugurated this Tuesday, September 22, and expects to receive more than 100,000 visits, remaining until December 31 next.
The organizing committee of this 100% online event reported that in the four months of operation, this platform will make some 800 virtual business appointments, benefiting more than 90,000 coffee-producing families from 47 provinces and 10 departments of the country.
NUESTRO CAFÉ FESTIVAL AND EXPO CAFÉ PERÚ
The Platform will bring together two major events: on the one hand, the emerging Festival Nuestro Café Virtual 2020, led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, through Sierra y Selva Exportadora and, on the other hand, the consolidated Expo Café Perú, organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cacao and the National Coffee Board.
It will include numerous activities such as business roundtables, forums, conferences, talks aimed at producers, businessmen and sector officials, as well as tasting, barista and latte art demonstrations, which are part of the 2020 Nuestro Café Virtual Festival.
For its part, the Expo Café Perú Virtual 2020 will exhibit more than 100 brands from all over the country in virtual stands, as well as service providers, with all the functionalities and interactions for exhibitors and visitors.
The awarding of the Cup of Excellence national specialty coffee competition has been scheduled for October 30, where the best coffees in the country will be announced, the same ones that, on December 5, will participate in the Cup of Excellence Electronic Auction . Both activities are in charge of the Central Café y Cacao del Peru.

e-COMMERCE
In order for the end consumer to access these coffee brands, variety according to region, an online coffee shop will be implemented starting in October, complementing the retail efforts of small producers in remote areas, which they do not have the marketing channels in Greater Lima.
INCREASE INTERNAL CONSUMPTION
The National Virtual Platform for the Promotion of Coffee, which is open to other initiatives to promote and support the sector, seeks to increase, in the shortest term, the internal consumption of this bean, from 730 grams to more than one kilo per capita per year, to overcome the limitations presented by the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the drop in the international price of this grain.
The Organizing Committee of this National Virtual Platform for the Promotion of Coffee is made up of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Sierra y Selva Exportadora, the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cacao, the National Coffee Board, Central Café y Cacao, Ministry of Commerce Exterior and Tourism, PROMPERÚ and entities such as DEVIDA, USAID, with its allies Alianza Café and TECHNOSERVE, Rikolto, SeCompetitivo, HELVETAS and the Swiss Cooperation, and the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
