Expo Café Peru has established itself over the last few years as the main commercial platform of the coffee sector in Peru, bringing together the different members of the coffee production chain in a space in which commercial appointments, sales, and various types of businesses and alliances between producers, entrepreneurs and the general public. The fair is also an excellent opportunity to expand the network of contacts either with a purely business view or as a fan of our flagship drink, coffee.

However, there is another very important aspect that is part of Expo Café Peru, and which is also one of the fundamental pillars of the fair that has allowed it to consolidate itself as one of the largest coffee events in Peru; We are talking about the talks and technical presentations that various experts and authorities from the public and private sector present every year, dealing with topics such as the national and international market, productivity, climate change, business opportunities, domestic consumption and exports, among others. This space is the one that causes many of the attendees to Expo Café Peru to be students of various careers and academic degrees who aim to seek to expand their knowledge and generate an important network of contacts. But not only the academics who are interested in these presentations, we all really want to educate ourselves and learn a little more about our flagship drink and the environments in which it is produced, as well as the business opportunities and jobs it generates.

Opportunities in crisis environments: Expo Café Peru 2020 virtual

It is valid to affirm that the coffee sector is not alien to crisis environments. Whether in relation to climate change, productivity problems, or price volatility, the truth is that those who are part of this sector, the members of the coffee production chain, have known how to overcome these obstacles through of the years. This year we were caught in a delicate global crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected societies around the world and the economies of these societies in different ways.

But we can't just sit idly by. We did not do it in the face of other adversities, and we will not do it now. Crises are also opportunities for change, and for adaptation. Hand in hand with technology, Expo Café Peru has achieved the transition towards virtuality, guaranteeing to continue, in an assertive manner, with the fair and with the commercial spaces that bring together the members of the production chain and the general public.

The presentations, exhibitions and conferences will also continue. Hand in hand with our virtual platform and our social networks, we have guaranteed the continuity of these spaces in which experts and authorities of the sector will be able to present and debate ideas with the public.

Last October we started with the Virtual Seminars of Peruvian Coffee. Pavan Adarsh ??from Olam International and Jos Algra from Novo Trade presented topics related to the international coffee market with a view to 2050, such as the main trends and the importance of sustainable coffee. We invite you to view the exhibitions and to attend our future exhibitions.
